Trump Calls Iran a “Failed Nation” as U.S.-Iran Conflict Escalates

American President Donald Trump described Iran as a “failed state” that had a collapsing system and demanded the prosecution of Iranian officials over war crimes amid a crackdown on protesters demonstrating against the government. These statements were made following an attack by Iran against a military base housing American troops in Jordan as a retaliatory move against an attack by America against Larak Island. While facing tough times economically and inflation levels, along with military engagements, the Iranian regime is still in place despite being attacked, signaling more escalation of the conflict without any peace treaty being signed.
